The Farmer's Market

Every Saturday morning from June through September, Granny and the girls and I go to the local farmer's market. It's not very big and certainly not fancy. Just people selling baked goods and crafts and produce from card tables and the backs of pick-up trucks.
We look at every stand before we make our choices.
And we end up chatting a lot, as all sorts of people we know are also there checking out the wares. The girls always pick out some sort of sweet or dessert. Today it was a mini rhubarb pie for Kate and chocolate dipped pretzels for Rae.
Granny bought flowers from our favorite seller - she grows them all herself!
And I bought honey to replenish our supply. The grower selling it told me "The bees donated this honey just two days ago."
I have to admit, though, that half of why I go to the farmer's market is just to look at all of the gorgeous produce. Personally, I think the only good thing about the heat and humidity of August is the bounty of gardens and fields.

It's worth it to brave the steamy heat for eye candy like this!
