I have been unable to blog because of computer woes, but that doesn't mean we haven't been busy! Here's a quick update on the past few weeks' actvities.
On a warm and windy Friday, our school held a Field Day. I had to be in a meeting all morning, so I missed out on seeing Rachel's events. She had a great time, although her partner was justifiably concerned that she would boss him around all day. I did make it over to see Katherine go through a few of the 25 stations. Her favorite was the trike race.
Katherine had her last elementary school music program. She has loved music class and loved being in programs. And I have loved watching her perform.
Rachel's kindergarten class spent last Friday at the park on what had to be the most perfect spring day ever. I stopped by for a few minutes between my classes, which delighted Rae. She was her ususal whirlwind of energy and smiles.
Yesterday I had the pleasure of watching Katherine's 4th grade class play. There were dropped lines and props mishaps and mid-show giggle attacks. It was pure silliness and great fun.
Katherine is moving to a new school next year in the town where we live. She will have to leave her classmates, who have been such good friends. It's a big change for all of us and we are a bit sad to see the end of this era.
Today was the last day of school for the girls and me. They spent their last few hours as kindergartener and fourth grader.
