Girls' Day, Part 1

We didn't have school yesterday, so we had a Girls' Day.  The first item on Katherine's list was going to the zoo.  So we called up her friend Amy and met their family for a tour of the zoo.  It was chilly out and hardly anyone was at the zoo, so we had the whole place to ourselves!
Katherine and Amy are from the same orphanage and even through they came home a year and a half apart, they have a unique bond.  Amy's family just adopted 9 year old Aubrie, so this was the first time we'd met her.  Aubrie's story is pretty amazing.  She's from the same orphanage as Amy and Katherine, too!  They actually met Aubrie 4 1/2 years ago when they were in China to adopt Amy.  They thought about Aubrie and prayed for her often.  Last fall they found her on a Waiting Child list and knew that it was time to bring her home.  So here, on the other side of the world, three girls from Yangjiang Social Welfare Institute are together again.
